Mount Washington Ride

A couple weeks after the completion of my cross country journey fo St. Judes Children’s Hospital, I was itching for another challenge. When I found out the nearby Mt. Washington Auto Road Race deemed “The Worlds Toughest Hillclimb” was a mere week away, I hit the ground running (spinning? rolling??). The course is a gnarly 7.6 miles with 4,650ft of elevation gain of sustained grades of 12%, sections of 18% and the kicker being the 22% to the finish. With only my steel frame steed, Sir Lee Richard Truckerson, I began climbing every hill in the Boston area on my 35+lb workhorse. Like my other rides, this was also for charity. Portion of the entry was donated to the Tin Mountain Conservatory.
